Yes, menstrual cups can be used regardless of sexual activity. We recommend choosing our Small size and taking time to practice insertion techniques. The cup sits lower than the hymen in most cases, but if you have concerns, consult with your healthcare provider.
How do I insert it correctly?
Use one of our recommended folds (Punch-Down, Labia, or 7-Fold), relax your muscles, and aim toward your tailbone for easy insertion. Find a comfortable position (sitting on the toilet, squatting, or standing with one leg raised). Once inserted, the cup should unfold naturally, creating a seal. You can check the seal by gently tugging on the stem or rotating the cup slightly.
Will it be uncomfortable if I can feel it?
When positioned correctly, you shouldn’t feel your cup at all. If you do feel discomfort, it might be inserted too low, not fully opened, or you might need a different size. The stem can be trimmed if it extends outside your body and causes irritation. Give yourself 2-3 cycles to adjust to using a cup before making fit adjustments.
